Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water (about 110°F or 45°C)
- 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Toppings:
- Mutti Pizza Sauce with Spices (about ½ cup)
- Granarolo Mozzarella Julienne (shredded) (1 ½ cups)
- Benina Mushroom (sliced, about ½ cup)
- L’Exquis Pepperoni (beef) (about 15-20 slices)
- ½ tsp dried oregano (optional)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Method
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Shape and Prebake the Dough
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle and place it on a pizza stone or baking tray.
- Prebake for 5 minutes to get a slightly crisp base.
Step 3: Assemble the Pizza
- Spread a thin layer of Mutti Pizza Sauce with Spices over the dough.
- Sprinkle Granarolo Mozzarella evenly.
- Add Benina Mushrooms and L’Exquis Pepperoni slices.
- Sprinkle oregano and red pepper flakes if desired.
Step 4: Bake the Pizza
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
